Gits Rice Idli Mix 200g

Anyone who has visited South India will recognise idlis, light and fluffy steamed rice patties. Often eaten with Sambhar or chutneys and pickles and great with just a dab of butter. Takes around 15 minutes to make - full cooking instructions are on the pack (see more info button for details).
CHEFS TIP: If you dont have an Idli mould you can make them in an egg poacher!
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
1 Start boiling water in a large pan or pressure cooker (without the weights).
2 Mix the contents of the pack with 320ml of cold water and 15ml (2 tbsp) of vegetable oil while the water is boiling.
3 Stir into a smooth batter and set aside for 10 minutes while the raising agent does its work.
4 Lightly grease idli moulds with vegetable oil. Stir the batter and add around 2 tablespoons to each idli mould. Cover and steam in the boiling pan/pressure cooker for about 15 minutes on a high heat.
5 Serve hot and fluffy side up with Sambhar, chutneys, pickles or your favourite curry.
